Thankful for Good Friends

We had the most wonderful guests for Thanksgiving Day. Suki and her mom came to visit. After tearing around the house for a bit, we headed to the dog park.

There weren't many dogs there, but we found these two big guys guarding the entrance. Everybody else must be home eating turkey.

We found this guy chasing things into a tree.
Suki gave the alarm - come over and see what's up there!

Hey, get back, dude. That's a kid up there.

All that excitement made us thirsty. Suki went for the water bowl in the shade.

After running around and sniffing for awhile, we were gathered together for a group shot.
Hey, Arnie, are you checking Suki out? Yup, he totally loves her.

Got the shot. Now back to the house for good eats. More pics tomorrow.

Flashback Friday

A picnic at our old house. Dogs are ALWAYS welcome at our house, although there might be a fence to keep us from the barbecue.

Great Weekend!!!

I teased you about my plans for the weekend, so here's the scoop.

We don't have many photos, because Suki's mom is a great photographer, so we left the picture taking to her. Here's one of the city of Austin.

Suki and her mom came to my agility trial on Saturday, and we got to meet for the first time. Suki is adorable. She's tiny, but mighty. She was in constant motion, and wanted to meet everyone she saw. She is just adorable. She got to see me run agility, and thought I did pretty good.

After my run was over, we went back to the hotel to pick up Arnie and dad. Arnie's more like Suki, so they got along famously. Lots of wiggly and wagging going on.

Suki and her mom took us to a great pizza place, where we got to sit on the patio with the humans. http://homeslicepizza.com/ Arnie and Suki were very well behaved while pizza and beer was consumed, but I managed to sneek a lick. Busted!

Then we went to the Austin Botanical Gardens, where dogs are allowed. It was a beautiful day, and walking through the flowers and trees was relaxing.

After walking around, we planned to meet the next day at agility again, then we went back to the hotel to chill.

That night, we decided to head back down to Austin, which was hopping. We walked around a lot (it's a VERY dog friendly city), then had some Thai food at a food truck. We got lots of attention from people walking by, and Arnie managed to eat out of a soy sauce packet he found on the ground. After a quick stop for cupcakes http://www.heycupcake.com/ we headed home.

Suki and her mom came to agility the next day, too. Her and Arnie cheered me on, in between playing.

Agility itself didn't bring any ribbons or Q's, but I did really well. A few bobbles kept me from qualifying, but mom said I'm really doing good. We show again in a few weeks, so hopefully I do a little better.

All in all, an AWESOME weekend. Suki and her mom were so nice to show us around their town. We made plans to get together again, maybe soon.....I'll keep you posted.

Running Pug Weekend

I have a big weekend planned. Agility trial in Austin, where I get to meet a special someone. I'll keep that a secret until next week, when I fill you in on the fun. In the meantime, I have to rest up for my runs. I'm in Excellent level now, so the pressure's on.

Don't forget mom's holiday giveaway:

Cranking out the juju

We heard that our friend, Payton, needed good juju today. So we sent her some - hoping it helps.

We're really increasing the output of juju today at our house. This morning, my boxer sister, Snap, went to the vet to have some lumps removed. Boxers get "C" a lot, so any lumps and bumps get dealt with immediately.

She's not feeling good tonight. So we're sharing Payton's juju with Snap. Hoping they've dodged the big "C", and that they both feel better soon.

Juju needed

A friend of mine if fighting the big C. He's not a pug, but is an agility dog.

His name is Dash, and he's a sheltie. A little disclosure - mom's not a sheltie fan. Not that they're not great dogs, but just not for her (her mom had a sheltie, and that sealed the deal for her).

But Dash is the bestest sheltie in the world. Hands down. And lots of people think that. In fact, that's his nickname.

But now he's fighting the C, and could use the good juju. His mom is doing all she can to beat it, but there's never enough help to go around when it comes to our buddies.
