Stuck between a MACH and a hard place

Now that I have my Excellent titles in AKC agility, it's time to work on our championship, called a MACH. To get one, I have to get 20 double Q's (qualify in Standard and Jumpers with Weaves on the same day), and get 750 points (you get one point for every point you are under course time.) So far I have no double Q's and 10 points.

It'll be a long road, but I'm sure we can do it. Right now, we're working on teamwork and attitude. This journey will likely take us years, and mom doesn't want to burn me out.

Yesterday, we went to a show, and she was pretty happy with my attitude. I've had a bad habit of running around jumps, and I only ran around the triple once, and after that mishap, I jumped every one. We were running pretty fast, and I listened to everything mom told me to do. Include the one wrong thing she told me - ha, that's on her! When I came out of the tunnel, I ran to her, and she didn't tell me to jump until I was past it.  She promises she'll get her timing worked out, and I promise to jump over all the jumps.

We're off for 6 weeks. A vacation (and a fun surprise), and hot weather means we'll be working inside for the summer.

Now hitting MACH speed.........................

Fun Time Had By All

We had a special visitor this weekend.
Suki and her mom came to see us,
so mom planned some fun adventures for us.

The first adventure was pretty special.
But mom left the photos on her camera,
so those will have to wait until she gets them onto her computer.
It will be worth the wait, though.

After that adventure, we headed to downtown Fort Worth.
It was hot, hot, hot, so our folks took us to the water gardens.
We couldn't go in the water, but it was cooler just being there.

Here we are (Suki, Arnie and me) next to the quiet pool.

Dad climbed up to the top of the wall with me.

That night, the humans went to the Texas Rangers baseball game.

Mom and Suki's mom wore the pink, sparkly Rangers hats they bought in Fort Worth.
The game was a lot of fun, and the Rangers beat the Astros!

Lots of adult beverages consumed.

The next morning, our moms took our picture in front of Payton's Pink Garden.

Suki and me posing pretty.

Suki has her Super Model on.

Suki - isn't she adorable?

Pug Juju strikes again

Mom took Levi to the vet, fully expecting to hear bad news. But.....

the news was GOOD!

He's not better, but the doctor thinks his problem is not the Big C (although she can't rule it out 100%), but a horrible bacterial infection in his GI tract. So he's back on more antibiotics, and we'll see what happens from here.

Thank you ALL!!!!

This is mom's favorite picture of Levi.
He's relaxing with his buddy after getting his Rally title.

Keep us in your thoughts

My big brother, Levi, isn't doing too well right now. He's been sick lately, and the last few days have been very bad. Mom will have to make a decision soon, and it will be tough on her.

Levi running agility. Yup, he had the "ears up" style going on.

On the banks of the Columbia River, on his way to the first ever
Pug Agility Trial at the Pug Nationals.

He was her agility partner long before Arnie and I came on the scene. They showed back when there were hardly any pugs doing agility. He's been spending his retirement years doing what he does best - eating and sleeping. But now his body is tired, and it looks like it won't be getting better. He's almost 14, which is a long life. But it really never is long enough.

Where is the time flying to?

Been awhile since I've written anything on my blog. Life's been really busy lately - mom and dad are working crazy, long hours. I'm on an agility break until next weekend. No adventures happening. Too hot to play outside. Too hot to go to class. Couldn't jump much because my back was out of whack (got adjusted last Thursday). What's a girl to do?

That's me snuggled in the blanket in back. Comfort first.

Sleep until life picks up again. Agility next weekend. A special visitor the weekend after that. Mom and dad's work calming down a little. Yup, life is about to get interesting.
