It's been a year...

...since we made the big move to Texas.

In one year (plus change):

Mom lost her job

Sold our house

This is me in front of our old house

Moved in with dad's mom (and half lived in the motorhome)

Living in the TrailerHood

Dad quit his job

Drove from Sacramento to Fort Worth in 4 days - with all our stuff, the motorhome and 5 dogs

Mom's view the entire trip

Crossing the Texas State Line

Put all our crap into storage

Packed full

Lived in the motorhome for a month

Dad chillin' while I chew on my dog bed

Found a rental house that was tiny with a big backyard

Cooking some chow in our ugly rental kitchen

Lived across the street from drug dealers

Found an agility trainer

Where we practice sometimes

Went to lots of agility trials

99% of our shows are INSIDE!

Mom found a job (that she loves)

Dad found a job (not so much)

Bought a house with a really big backyard

Our new house

Whew, what a year. Can't wait to see what the next year brings.

  1. Wow, Gracie! That's a lot in only 12 months time. I'm glad you were there to love on your parents (and they on you) through it all! It looks like the big move has paid off and you got a big back yard and cool agility meets to prove it!
    Have a great weekend!
    Love,

Movin' on up is hard but in the end quite rewarding.

  3. You and your family have really been busy this past year! Glad to hear that jobs have been obtained and a nice new house with big yard has been found! Let's hope the next year involves less moving!

  4. Gracie, my head is spinning! That's a lot of change to deal with in only one year. Glad things are settling in a little now for you guys. My parents thought about living out of an RV for a while at some point as they love road trips and I do really well in the car. -Love, Sid.

That's A LOT of change and having to endure the Hottest Summer ever on record.

  7. Sid - mom and dad didn't mind living in the motorhome. In fact, that's the plan when they retire.

  8. Suki - we figure we got the hottest summer ever done and over with. It's all better from here on out.
